Pick your slug

Every ride is no-drop. The pace tells you how fast the group rolls on the flats, not how fast you have to be.

Weekly · Saturdays

Garden Slug

11–13 mph · 6–15 mi

Social pace, lots of stops, coffee at the end. Any bike works. The best first ride.

Biweekly · Weeknights

Banana Slug

14–16 mph · 15–30 mi

After-work loops around the lakes. Steady effort, regroups at every turn.

Monthly · Afterparty

Slime Trail Social

Easy · ends at a partner spot

A short ride that finishes at a local brewery or café. Bring friends who don't ride yet.

Ride rules

How SLUCS rides

  1. No one gets dropped.A ride leader sweeps the back. We regroup at the top of every hill and every turn.
  2. Helmet, lights, working brakes.Front and rear lights on every ride, even in daylight. Seattle gets dark fast in fall.
  3. Sign the waiver once.Every rider signs the club waiver before their first ride. It takes a minute.
  4. Call it out.Point out potholes, rail tracks, and glass. Say "slowing" and "stopping" out loud.
  5. Share the trail.On the Burke-Gilman and Westlake paths we ride single file and pass walkers slowly with a bell.
  6. Rain rides on.Light rain is normal here. Heavy rain or ice cancels, announced in Discord by 7 AM.
